Deidrich Tasto (Dick) was the youngest of 5 children. He joined the Air Force and served during the Korean War. After returning home and working for years in the glazing field Dick decided it was time to put his knowledge and passion to better use by opening his own company. Alongside his wife and one of their daughters Dick opened D&C Glass and Aluminum on May 1, 1988. For 25 years Dick ran his company with passion and dedication to the work and his customers. His word was his bond and he truly believed in a good old fashion handshake. It was a hard decision to step back and retire but Dick and Carol took comfort in the fact they would pass the company onto their daughter Coreen Tasto and grandson David Pacheco. Coreen has been with D&C Glass since 1988 and uses her 30 years of experience to continue to push D&C Glass forward. Coreen provides a sound knowledge base for the company along with many life lessons learned from her father and mother. Her son David began helping around D&C when he was 12. David took to his grandfather’s line of work and Dick took great pleasure in teaching his grandson the trade; he was tough on him which helped mold David into the hard-working perfectionist he is today. David has worked as a glazier for a few companies and brings years of experience and dedication to the family business that started out with his grandfather. In 2018, Coreen and David brought Amy Shelton, Dick and Carol’s granddaughter, on board to assist with the growing business. Amy is a veteran like her grandfather and served in the US Army. She has her degree in Business Management and loves being part of the family business. D&C Continues to hold onto their family values and a commitment to quality service that Dick insisted on over 30 years ago.
